WHO WE ARE

Associazione Passaggi APS operates in Trebisacce province of Cosenza in an area whose socioeconomic and cultural parameters are increasingly problematic.
Founded in 2008 and legally incorporated in 2010, it has gained extensive experience over the years in the field of informal education addressing mainly people with limited economic capacity, at risk of social marginalization and with poor access to educational and training tools and cultural, social aggregation and leisure institutions, targeting all ages.
It organizes, expressly free of charge, courses and workshops in computer science; theater; after-school programs for children; language, literary, environmental history and art-creative education.
Through the Flying Library animation it distributes books on loan, organizes read alouds, meetings with authors, social, historical-literary debates. It has a well-established collaboration with schools to which it proposes innovative projects to combat educational poverty and to expand educational offerings.
It cherishes environmental sustainability and promotes the enhancement of the territory by organizing ecological walks, meetings with environmental experts creative workshops.
In the broader territorial vision, the association counts various projects at the national and European levels, such experiences lead to the perception of complex problems of a society whose most fragile components need solidarity and regeneration.
The association is also an active participant in the affirmation of policies for the full implementation of gender equality and the fight against discrimination and violence against women, promotes denied rights and peace.
It is part of the coordination of ActionAid grassroots associations and is a member of the national network of associations that adhere to "Realizing Change," as well as the network that unites local associations in the city. It counts constant and fruitful collaborations with the city administration and other institutions for social, educational and cultural activities.
